Q.

I got my baby's ear piercing done today.. through gun shot.. they have put a gold plated stud. instructed to change the stud after 10 days.. please guide as to what precautions to be taken after ear piercing. is there any oil or cream to be applied?

A. will changing baby stud to gold cause pain to baby.. will they not use gold earing directly to baby initially... m getting my son ear pierced tom so m lil confused

A. u can use coconut oil n kumkum.. mix it n apply 2 time in day...bit will help.. I used that

A. Hi... I got gun shot for my baby when she was 9months... got it done by a pediatrician. . i was instructed to leave it for 6weeks.. dey gave a gel which comes with d gold plated stud n I used it for abt a week.. she was fine.. no infection at all...

A. thanks Nikita... but just want to know which alcohol? and six weeks wud b quite a long time Na? coz she is wearing gold plated studs, so I fear that might cause infection.. pls suggest

A. hello...After the piercing, don't remove the earrings for six weeks. During that time, wipe some alcohol around the ear lobe twice a day, and twist the earrings at least once a day. Don't press on your baby's ear when doing so, as that can be painful. After each bath, dry the area around each piercing so it doesn't stay damp.
