Q.

I did not know that sugar and salt should not be introduced to babies below 1 year of age. My daughter is now 9 montgs old and she was exclusively breast fed till 6 months of age...after six montgs we have started giving her solid food...and salt n honey has been given to her through food to improve the taste...as she was very fidgety to eat at first.. please help me to know if I can avoid giving her any more sugar and salt in her diet...and will it affect my child's health now?

A. hi young babies don't have fully developed digestive system. so their kidneys can not cope up with salt amount that we adults take. so, please use it in very very small quantity. use jeggary instead of using sugar. and honey can be given after age of 1 so please avoid giving it.
