Q.

I am 35 weeks pregnant and I get a lot of pain in my ribs when I sleep on either the right or left side, due to which I have to sleep straight. Is this normal?

A. Yes. Pregnant women tend to have pain in the lower ribs due to the pushing of the uterus. Try using a pregnancy pillow so that you’re not directly sleeping straight and Rather, sleeping at a tilted position to avoid hypotension due to the uterus, pressing on the blood vessels
