Major health bodies like World Health Organization and the Indian Association of Pedriatics recommend that babies must be breastfed minimum until 2 year of age and maximum as long as Mother and the child wish to go. Weaning is best done gradually over a period of time by dropping a feed at a time either by distraction or replacing it with child's favourite food.
