A. I have been using nasal aspirator for my daughter who is now almost 10 months old. It’s not useful for dry stuffy nose which often is worsened by AC/ heating. If the baby has mucous/ runny nose, then it’s effective. First put nasoclear drops to soften the snot and then use aspirator.

Aruna GovardhanMom of a 7 yr 8 m old boy7 years agoA. For using nasal aspirator there are 3 steps to follow. I am just giving u details but my true suggestion would be not to use it as it baby is only 3 months old. step1- steam the baby by sitting in a steam room or u can use a nasal steamer by making ur baby sit/sleep near it. step2- keep saline drops into the baby's nostrils, 1-2 drops in each nostril. step 3- press the bulb and hold it , now place the tip near the nostril and release the bulb. The mucus gets collected . But pls it's risky for infants. U use Nasoclear alone which will be sufficient.

OLGA MYKHAILENKOMom of a 7 yr 4 m old girl7 years agoA. as per my doctor's advise we use nasal spray, 1 drop in each side. if baby is too small I used to put drops when she was laying on her back. and not I do it according to prescription, spray once in each side when baby is just up. do it 3-4 times per day till she will be fine. Also use ear buds or nose pump to clean nose from inside.

Aruna GovardhanMom of a 7 yr 8 m old boy7 years agoA. Nasal aspirator must be used with caution. Slight error may trouble the baby. Nasoclear is the best remedy. You can also use vicks - apply it for baby's feet and put on socks. Use Nasoclear also 3 times a day one drop in each nostril. Keep the baby warm, give him oil massage with mustard oil. These worked for my baby always.

Anjali AnandMom of a 7 yr 11 m old boy7 years agoA. Boil some methi seeds with mustard oil. Seive it and then store that oil. When boil is light warm, with the help of cotton buds, put a drop of oil in baby’s nose. Used by me also. Baby’s nose will clear soon. All the best.

induMom of a 8 yr 3 m old boy7 years agoA. Nasoclear is best for the baby. My baby is 13 months now and whenever he feels blocked nose I put 1 drop in each nasal of my baby’s nose and he sleeps well. Also it clears the mucus. You can use it twice or thrice a day or as prescribed by the doctor.

I would prefer please use saline nasal sprays it will loosen the mucus........and mucus could come from pee......plzz avoid too much force in baby nose coz he is too small to bear these things.........and when baby is suffering from cough plz help him to sleep in a side not straight so that he could take breath properly and sleep well .....

Mrs Nandini Pandit SayedMom of a 8 yr 1 m old child7 years agoA. Use the Saline water available in the market for babies and that should fix the issue/problem and if the baby isn’t keeping too well then don’t forget to visit the pediatrician.
