Q.
How to give baby protection from cold and cough. he is just 2 yrs old and sweat too much. we live in kolkata and in December sometime we have switch fan for cooling.

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children2 years agoA. Cold is most of the time because of some viral infection or allergic condition and symptoms are usually sneezing, running nose, nasal congestion and fever. cough along with throat irritation are usually associated .
Treatment consists of antiallergic antipyretics analgesics and decongestants medicine .
As a home remedy steam inhalation would be very useful .
Medicines like wikoryl / tminic / Alex cold can be used in a proper dose foufr 3-5 days as per the symptoms .
Steam inhalation is repeated frequently .
