Asking him to arrange his story books or book collections in alphabetical order or sorting out his cupboard or helping you in preparing a sandwich. Read out stories. This helps your kid focus on one task at a time. Keep introducing new story books as his interest grows. This will encourage him to focus and enhance his listening skills. Ask simple questions at the end of the story to ensure he was listening carefully. Breathing exercises help. Make sure that your kid gets enough rest and does not stay tired. Give a task and set time limits for the task completion. A time limit of 15 or 20 mins is enough and their attention will not waver within this time limit. Reduce distractions like noise, TV, loud music, mobile phones, laptop, tablets etc.
