A. A child between 1 and 3 year old needs about 5-6 cups of water in a day. This water may come from milk, fruit juices or from foods they feed. The water requirement also depends on the climate. If you are staying in a hot and humid climate, your kid may require more water to prevent dehydration and exhaustion. If your kid is very much physically active, he would need more water to keep his body hydrated. Drink water often Infront of your toddler and he or she will surely follow you. Buy a sipper with your toddler's favourite cartoon character on it or picture of some animal or bird and use it every time you feed him or her water. Getting him or her his or her own cup and letting him or her easy access to it may make him or her drink more water. Check Babyhug 360° Training Sipper Cup - 240 ml : BPA free with spill proof valve. It is a training cup with dentist recommended design. 360° edge allows drinking from any side of the cup by simply tilting the cup and sucking on the valve's edge. Handles are easy to hold by a kid. Supports oral development. Easy to clean.
