ExpertDr Disha PatelAyurvedic Physician7 years agoA. Babies frequently pass urine. Some babies may pass more and some less; there is no set rule for this. Some babies pass urine 12-15 times a day (or even more); others pass urine only 8 times a day. Whether the baby is breastfed or bottle-fed, as long as she passes urine at least 7-8 times in a 24-hour period OR should produce 6-8 heavy diapers per 24 hours.

But the weather is too hot here my 6 moths old baby girl is passing urine only 5 times during day time and during night ( while sleeping)she doesn't pass urine that is for more than 8 hours and also she sweats a lot in her head both day and night and while sleeping and while actively playing?

meghali BorahMom of a 9 yr old boy7 years agoA. 6 to 8 times is normal and it should not be lesser than that. keep the baby hydrated and always keep a check on the pee count might it is less than 6 then give coconut water sugar cane juice etc if the baby is above six months
