Q.

Hi,while breastfeeding we can take tab.azithromycin,it won't cause any problems to baby?

A. Dear Mamma, that is an antibiotic and you need doctor's prescription to take it..Always mention you are breastfeeding and ask for breastfeeding friendly medication. Have probiotics with antibiotics. And if not a confirmed bacterial infection avoid antibiotics as it can cause more harm than good

A. hi mom. definitely you have to consult with your respective doctor while he is giving any kind of medicine as it can be harmful for the child. Azithromycin is a antibiotic according to my knowledge Azithromycin will not cause much effect on the child but still please consult with your respective doctor regarding you are breastfeeding while you take this medicine. whenever you go to a doctor you have to tell him that you are a breastfeeding mother before taking any medicine
