Q.
hi my son who is 1 year old had high fever and little bit of cough and cold last Monday for which I consulted his pediatrician. the doctor gave syrups Meftal P, syrup sinarest and ascoril LS for 5 days. now 5 days are over. my baby's fever is gone but cold and cough got worse. should I continue these syrups for cough and cold. or can u suggest any other syrup that works better.

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children4 years agoA. Cough and Cold should be treated only after a proper examination by a doctor as there may be some associated factor . As the first line of treatment you can give steam inhalation which wou ngld be helpful . Cough Syp should be given only after a proper evaltuation .
