hi my son is 3 months 24 days old, yesterday we went for 14 th week vaccination now his temperature is 97.7 and yesterday night he did vomit while having formula milk and today also night he did vomit while having milk. temperature underarm is that ok? what is the reason to do vomiting? they have given rotavirus drop - 5 drops is that fine?

sunitaMom of 2 children4 years agoA. apne feed excess diya hota.temp thik h.ya achche ka stomach dab gaya hoga shoulder m lene s.. chote bachche aisa krte rehte h not to worry if child is active n playfull

Fever occur as reaction in the body towards any kind of infection or any inflammatory process in body and only when the temperature is above 99F it is considered as fever, so you can give paracetamol in a dose of 15 mg/kg/dose as the first line treatment this dose can be again repeated after every 5 to 6 hours if again required and you can also do cold sponging of the body to reduce fever in between the doses ,but if it continues further you should consult your doctor for proper treatment. if the temperature is not controlled by paracetamol alone meftal p can be given in between as a single dose but only under medical guidance.these medicines will also work to relieve any pain or body ache to a good elixtent. but in case of infection in which the fever is associated with other problems also it is recommended to get the clinical assessment done and get a proper treatment done by a doctor.
