hi my baby 2.5 years old. her body temperature is 99.9 f. is this fever r normal

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children3 years agoA. Fever is commonly seen in babies and mostly it's viral infection which is very common in children.
But if fever is high grade and persisting or assosiated with specific symptoms than other causes should also be ruled out .
Antipyretic like paracetamol or ibuprofen or mefenamic acid are usually given to reduce fever . Cold sponging with lukewarm water is alsvo helpful .
Doctor consultation should be done if symptomvs like excessive irritability dullness loss of appetite less urine output is there .

Yes Any temperature of a 99°F which is considered as fever only so yes it is fever that your child is suffering from so currently you can go ahead with giving paracetamol to the child or if you any other medicine that you are giving to the child you can go ahead with that is
