Q.

Hi mam I had uti for which I used to take alkacitral for 3 days and washed my vagina with dettol antiseptic and water which make it dry and now I came to know through Google that dettol shall not be used to wash private parts now I am very much concerned regarding this what can I do now please help.

A. donot worry just wash it with plain water and oat dry.. change your panty and drink lots of water.. and make sure to not to use detol or any other hygiene wash again.. keep taking your antibiotics on time and have cranberry juice.. donot control urine.. make sure you pass urine when urge.. controlling of urine is also a major cause of uti.. also take care during sex.. avoid till uti is not completely healed and after that make sure of hygiene and wash immediately after sex..

A. but I uesd dettol qnd water today also now it becomes dry and irritated what can I do now

A. hii vaigina is self cleansing.. you donot need any antiseptic or any soap to clean it.. make sure u drink lots of fluids as it helps in uti.. cranberry juice helps alot.. add coconut water, buttermilk in your diet.. make sure you change your panty atlst twice a day.. wash the area with normal water and pat dry.. donot rub the area.. also donot apply any thing to vagina.. wear cotton panties and wash area after every pee
