definitely 200% save just cleaned the cream before you feed a baby and also you can apply nipple Shield to get rid of the issue when you are feeding your baby

Ensure that the baby latches properly 
Nipple along with some part of areola should go deep into baby's mouth.  The mouth of baby should be opened wide and the chin should press on your breasts. This way baby feeds properly and nipples don't get hurt .
To pull off the baby break the suction by putting your finger between his lips.
You can apply nipple care butter by himalaya , in the time between feeds and wash well before you feed the next time.
Can put a warm compress on sore nipples. This will provide relief.
 You can also use nipple shields.
