My son is 7 month old and he is having cold . When he sleeps i hear the sound and also little running nose. We have given nasivion 1 drop in each nose. He is active and only this cold he is having. Mother feeding and ragi and apple puree we are giving. How can we help him in resolving his cold issue. Also can we give him some food which can help him.

itnis due to season change. Blockage of nose is due to the common cold and flu due to season variation . Steam along with other home remedy like maintaining baby temperature will help . Nasal drop like nasovion for block . Other medications like paracetamol for fever can be given if any fever .

Cold is most of the time because of viral illness and  if the child is having recurrent running nose and nasal congestion  it may be a part of allergic rhinitis also so it needs a proper examination.
steam inhalation will be beneficial in both the cases along with decongestant medicine like alex cold/ hatric 3/ sinarest.
As a part of viral illness there could be associated symptoms like cough and fever which needs treatment accordinglylo along with a proper hydration needs to be maintained .
