Hi doctor, my baby is 4mnt old, she is suffering from cold, she also has a runny nose from 2days... is wikoryl oral drops sufficient for her...plz suggest... And can i have icecream even if she has cold....

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children2 years agoA. Cold is most of the time because of viral illness and if the child is having recurrent running nose and nasal congestion it can be allergic rhinitis also so it needs a proper examination.h
steam inhalation will be beneficial in both the catses along with decongestant medicine like wikoryl, alex cold
In viral illness there cagn be cough and fever which needs treatment accordingly along with a proper hydration .

You can consult your paediatrician regarding the child is too small so it’s better not to go ahead with any medication for the child without consulting the doctor anyways we not recommended to suggest medicines without knowing the entire situation and for such a small child is definitely a no-no
