Q.

hi doctor and parents, my kid has cold and cough.. pediatrician suggested phenix drops and ascoril drops for 5 days. naso clear sis. how this will work whether the mucus comes via stools? what should I have to control his cold and cough? please suggest.

A. Cough along with Cold most of the time is a viral illness and it needs supportive care along with proper hydration. you can give steam inhalation which is very useful . cough needs to be treated with anti allergic and expectorant bronchodilators or antitussives medicine which should be given only after a proper evaluation by the doctor accliording to the type of cough. if fever is there paracetamol can be given to reduce the fever and the dose can be repeated after 6 hours again if required .

A. Hello mom Yes make us can be out through stool or can also by the vomit. So you don’t have to worry I just continue giving a medication as advised by a doctor. Try to keep your baby in normal room temperature and don’t change the temperature of surroundings frequently. Don’t give any medicine till it is not advised by Dr
