Hello sir.. how to maintain hydration for 4m old baby.. additional to breastfeeding can i feed water to her.

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 4 m old boy4 years agoA. before completion of 6 months of age you cannot offer water to the child and you have to give only breastfeeding because breastfeeding contains 80% of water by itself. .

SanthoshiMom of a 8 yr old girl4 years agoA. Not required dear. babys milk has got enough water content in it. Additionally water isn't required. Giving water will fill baby's tummy with zero nutrients. And later because of fullness they avoid having milk wich is full of nutrients. Water is just seri calories rather milk can be given which already has water content in it...
