Ligament Stretching: As your uterus grows, the round ligaments supporting it stretch, which can cause sharp or dull pain in the lower abdomen and pelvic area.
Increased Blood Flow: During pregnancy, there’s increased blood flow to the pelvic region, which can sometimes lead to feelings of heaviness or discomfort.
Pressure from the Growing Uterus: As the uterus expands, it may put pressure on surrounding muscles, ligaments, and nerves, leading to discomfort in the vaginal and pelvic areas.
Pelvic Girdle Pain: This occurs when the pelvic joints loosen in preparation for delivery, which can result in pain around the vagina and lower back.
If the pain is severe or accompanied by other symptoms like bleeding, fever, or unusual discharge, it's best to consult your doctor to rule out any complications.
