A. Hi, Yes sometimes it takes time for the swelling to show and there is no harm in applying a drop of coconut oil and turmeric on the ear piercings to ensure that there is no infection. Turmeric and coconut oil both have anti bacterial properties and hence are used after piercings, as from personal experience i know a lot of cases where there is a liquid discharge and then it dries blocking the hole and it pains when trying to put the earring back, so yes i feel its best to apply.
