Q.

hello doctor. my son is 2.5 month old. his head is producing so much heat and other body parts ' temperature is usually normal, sometimes hands and feet would be cool. is it normal for head to produce more heat as compared to other body parts?

A. yes, it is completely normal.. and should not be worry about it. It is a result of baby’s undeveloped thermoregulation system. Take off extra layers of clothes and blankets. Breastfeed it more often. Massage its body gently and soothingly. Keep room temperature comfortable

A. Yes it is common to have the head a bit warmer than the other body parts. Even the head sweats more in babies even in winters. Head has the largest surface area which regulates the body temperature. Don't worry it will be fine with time
