Q.

hello doctor, my son has cough and cold..fever..he did not eat anything but had all medicines with empty stomach. now he slept and refusing to eat and wake up..kindly advice on this

A. there is possibility of acidity.. kindly give easily digestible food for few days like rice dal khichdi curd buttermilk apple banana poha upma and do not give milk to the child. also it is advisable not to give any milk products like outside milk cerelac milk powder cow milk animal milk. you cannot give chocolate and icecream. you cannot give outside food as well as preservative food. avoid giving raw food and also sugary food avoid tea coffee. if required your doctor will add antacids as well as anti colic medicines for your child

A. You should never give medicines on empty stomach it’s not recommended even if the child has one biscuit also would be good enough but never mind currently due to the current situation that your child is having lots of appetite is normal so try to give more of liquids during this time and see if your child consumes them
