hello doctor good afternoon. can I take mother's horlicks for increase breast milk

A. Breastfeeding works on demand and supply basis. The more you breastfeed the more your supply will increase. please give baby plenty of skin to skin, unrestricted access to the breast and latch baby on frequently. Horlicks is full of sugar and chemicals and will help you to put on weight

A. Yes mother's horlicks us good for lactating women. Papaya, flax seeds, cumin seeds are very good for milk production. You can make raw papaya sabzi or mix it with masoor Dal, it will be beneficial. Also drink plenty of water. And remember the more the baby latches, the more you produce milk. Take proper rest and if you don't see any improvement then please consult with a lactation consultant. You can also try using himalaya shatavari for the same.
