For 3to 4 days I am giving watermelon juice to my 14 months old baby... today I noticed her red poop... Does watermelon change the color of poop? or it could be other reason please reply ...I am worried

Dr Rashmi SriramMom of a 9 yr 5 m old girl5 years agoA. Watermelon usually does not change the colour. Beetroot can do it. However it is better to consult paediatrician for direct examination once. If the baby is active alerts and comfortable there is usually no problem

garimaMom of a 7 yr 11 m old girl5 years agoA. Hi, Color in poop can be due to food color.That can be the reason but what you can do is avoid to give it for next few days and dont give red color food then check the stool.If it continhes, please consult with ped.
