Q.
Even after ten months she will not sit by herself. If I hold her and sit she will sit for a while. Prostrate and trying to float, 2 hands and toes try to float, prostrate. It is also done like a push up. Why doesn't she sit on her own and crawl on her knees?

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 8 m old boy2 years agoA. sitting without support and crawling in children may sometimes come after one year of age also. if the growth of the child is proper no need to worry. just take care of regular diet and baby massage which will help in strengthening the muscles needed for sitting and crawling. d in some cases crawling may be absent in children and directly the child will begin to stand with support and later walk with support and then without support. take a medical check up done to confirm if there is need of any interventiond.

Ankita MehtaMom of a 9 yr 4 m old girl2 years agoA. hi ideally child should learn this by the age of 10 months,so it is advisable to visit your pediatrician for once please give enough play time give Gentle massage with Babyhug massage oil everyday
