Q.

During pregnancy At 32 weeks my liver enzymes were elevated SGOT - 96 Nd SGpt -75.After my delivery it came back to normal range. after 45 days post partum Dr suggested to check it again and my level are SGOT-94 and SGPT 130 which is high. I am taking ayurvedic medicne and iron calcium tablet now when i took the test.Does ayurvedic medicine or iron medicine result in elevated liver enzymes?How to reduce it ?

A. hi, depending on ur ongoing medication n other clinical examination need to know fir the same, it's preferable to visit your doctor, for further evaluation and exact treatment or management.

Q. #asktheexperts mere baby ka sgpt and sgot fluctuate hota h.. at the age of 1 month he was having jaundice, but Dr told me that it will cure automatically and it cured after 2 months. after that his sgpt and sgot is fluctuating. we have done all test what Dr said that and all are neg. we have not done liver biopsy. last month his sgpt and sgot was 37 and 59 respectively. this month his sgpt- 137 and sgot -162. baby is healthy, gaining weight, eating everything. he is not having any problem. I have taken Ecospirin 75 before pregnancy for 3 months and in pregnacy also. Due to this baby is having some issues? He is taking breastmilk also. Or may be I have some issues with lft due to this his enzymes are fluctuating? What is reason plz reply
