Q.
does grapes are good in cough and cold for 3 yr baby..coz my son having extreme cold and cough and he is asking for grapes...so plz suggest me is it good or bad

ExpertDr.Rasika ThosarPaediatric Intensivist6 years agoA. avoid if possible warm turmeric milk, warm water, licorice in honey will help. give adequate rest. maintain hygiene. handwashing is extremely important,. child might lose appetite, so give easy to digest foods in small portions. give fruits, sheera , kheer , add ghee to maintain calorie intake. if no iMprovement, or Vomitting with coughing , consult doctor . Loss of appetite happens in illness, try giving warm soups, runny khichdi, energy rich foods, give favourite foods

Dr Shradha shikhareMom of a 10 yr 2 m old boy6 years agoA. hello mom no better to avoid grapes, banana, when baby has cold as it can increase the mucus production hence can aggrevate cold more. u can give other fruits safely like chiku, papaya, sweet lime ,apple etc

Sneha PuruswaniMom of 2 children6 years agoA. It's better you avoid giving grapes to the baby if the baby is having cold or cough. Can give the dried ones soaked in water. As the grapes are sour sometimes and also the skin is thick and these aggregate the cold cough in the baby. Give soaked dried grapes deseed them and also give the water in which they are soaked. Give the water a little warm
