Q.

Doctor, can breast feeding causes the constipation. ? The doctor told me to give this medicine named milk of magnesia ip Is this medicine effective for constipation?

A. no milk does not cause constipation but yes it does not contain fibres therefore due to deficiency of dietary fibre constipation can occur and the medicine given by the doctor can be taken

A. If your baby is exclusively breastfed, it's very unlikely they'll become constipated. Be sure to include plenty of water in your own diet if you're the one providing the baby's breast milk. Babies can become constipated because of medications or sensitivities to ingredients in infant formula.
