cough and cold for my 4month baby. will there be any syrup for cough?

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children3 years agoA. Cough and Cold along with the symptom like Fever loss of appetite irritability could be a feature of viral infection or seasonal flu where most of the time supportive treatment is given.
along with that cough expectorant and decongestant with antiallergic medicine given.
steam inhalation can be given frequently to relieve the symptoms.Cold is most of the time because of viral illness and if the child is having recurrent running nose and nasal congestion it can be allergic rhinitis also so it needs a proper examination.
steam inhalation will be beneficial in both the cases along trwith decongestant medicine like wikoryl, alex cold
In viral illness there can be cough and fever which needs treatment accordingly along with a proper hydration .
