ExpertDr Disha PatelAyurvedic Physician3 years agoA. Giving gripe water is not necessary to newborn babies If the baby is having gases or colics you can try Colicaid drops.
Burp properly after each feeding is important.
You should feed only breast feeds as complete food to your baby for the first 6 months of life. In the addition Vitamin D drops need to be given for 1 year.

For the first 6 months the baby should be either exclusively breastfed or formula fed only for better health, nutrition and hydration. Continue to exclusively breastfeed your baby well on demand for every 2 to 3 hours. Good luck and take care.
