It may be habit to pulling ear..
Ear wax, ear infection, may be reason for it ..high fever, start to wake up from sleep, excessive crying in that case kindly do Consult ENT specialist.

No you should not all these things are very early so you have to avoid doing it you going to start putting mustard oil only once your baby turned six months or till the time you should never use all these things because your baby is too small for all
