You can use talcum powder on your baby as long as you apply it correctly. Dab it onto your hand away from your baby so that there is no chance of her inhaling any powder. Then apply it to the folds of your baby’s skin.

Always bathe the baby with a mild soap made of natural ingredients. The soap should be unscented and hypoallergenic. Immediately after bathing, while the skin is still moist, use a baby lotion on baby's skin atleast twice a day. The lotion should be hypoallergenic and fragrance free. What soap and lotion are you using?
