can i mix water in breast milk while giving to baby as i give it in bottle

AmitFather of a 7 yr 5 m old girl6 years agoA. no do not mix water to breast milk it can cause severe infection to baby. give only BM or formula milk upto six months exclusively. do not give water also.

Dr GhouseGuardian of 3 children6 years agoA. you give direct breastfeeds to your baby continuously up to 6 months of age by adding water you will be introducing infection unnecessarily don't mix water your breast milk meets all the requirements of the baby

Sunita MahatoMom of 2 children6 years agoA. No there is no need of mixing water in breast milk as the mother milk already contains amount of water.. Exclusively breastfeeding is recommended for babies till they completes six months. It will be better if you can restrict or avoid use of feeding bottle..
