priyanka aroraMom of a 10 yr 11 m old boy9 years agoA. its a lovely feeling when child respond u..n we wait for that bt hv sm patience..by 2 months babies respond to the sound of rattle n toy..it can b in 3 months coz evry child is dfrnt..by 3months n after ur baby ll saw u ..whereever u go he ll move his head..more they respond to mothers..giggle with then make sounds n make dfrnt faces baby ll smile n respond u

Usually babies start to look for the source f the sound by 4 months and by 6 months they try to.imitate sounds. By 8th month thru babble and respond to changes in tone of voice. And last but not least by the child's 1st birthday he or she might say few words like mamma- dada. Enjoy parenting..
