this maybe due to any fungal infection like cradle cap hair loss in babies is very common and because of many reasons.
Because of the withdrawal maternal hormone initial hairfall is there.
After birth all the hair of the baby remain in the resting phase and usually by 8 to 12 weeks of age shedding of hairs is there . 
Hairs will grow back mostly by 3-7 months but a proper quality hair will be there by around 2 years of age. 
Cradle cap may also be also a cause for frequent shedding of hairs. along with traction alopecia because of continuous pressure on head in lying position. to resolve the problem of cradle cap you can apply flutivate e cream over the scalp for one week and then discontinue but if the problem persists then you should consult your doctor for proper treatment.

Massage your baby hair with coconut oil on the scalp to get rid of the dandruff .
u can buy babyhug cold pressed coconut oil which is pure and additive free to massage. 
wash with any mild shampoo. 
This will help to clear the scalp
