Q.

baby is not sucking the milk directly from breast since it was fed initially by nipple shield and the milk is coming slowly as it is sucking from nipple shield

A. more you feed your baby, more is the stimulation and more is the breast milk production. also relaxed mind , love for the baby, confidence while feeding help in oxytocin release and hence augment milk production. first month is always tough so keep patience. check the latching technique, burp inbetween feeds, also take comfortable position for feeding. sore nipples are common initially, apply breast milk on them and air dry, gradually it will recover. still if feeding doesn't establish properly, consult your paediatrician. for Flat nipples continue trying. nipples conform in shape once baby starts latching. also for flat nipples you can pull out with syringe like device. consult with your gynaecologist. or express and feed till latching is established.

A. Frequent nursing and hands on pumping during the day can help increase milk supply.  massage your nipples continuously One of the best ways to increase milk supply is to keep on nursing your little one.the more you feed the baby frequently.. the more milk will be generated in your body.... add this food in your meal if possible... Will help to increase breastmilk... fennel seed oatmeal ginger fenugreek Papaya spinach carrot water juice
