small babies do take time
please put him in a baby feeding chair, mash or give small bites and let baby try to eat
this way baby will also learn to ear and you will also be able to do other work along with this.

Then make your child’s food time of an activity narrate some story play with your child and then you feed your child you can find lots of videos helpful online where you can learn different tactics to feed your child by playing with them make them enjoy the food that you are giving and always try to work up on varieties for your child
