Q.

#asktheexperts Normally the polio vaccination is conducted by government at various place, but for my baby the we take his polio drop at the time of our doctor visit for vaccination and check up , so do we can or do we have to take the polio drop again at government place

A. All the vaccination should be given according to the vaccination schedule whether the government or IAP schedule and you can discuss with your pediatrician regarding the details of the vaccination. Pulse polio immunization programme is provided by the government to all children below 5 years of age. if your child has received porlio vaccine before as per the schedule then also you should give this vaccine on the thef pulse polio day as this is an additional vaccine. For polio vaccine dates and related query you need to contact your local authorities .

A. Is It is completely your choice if you want to go ahead with the government polio drops session as well in fact it is good only it is a double back up for the child when I asked my paediatrician they said whenever you get a chance get it done in the government can also so I would say just go ahead with it
