#asktheexperts my son is 4 month old and there is a lump on his vaccination site on leg it's two weeks... is it normal? should I massage the lump area?

A. yes can massage after painful vaccines like dpt which comes with pentavalent vaccine can cause swelling in the limbs which can continue for more than two months also. it does not require any treatment and should go away on its own. after vaccination immediately you should start applying ice as well as thrombophob gel to prevent such swellings from persisting
