#asktheexperts my baby is 5 months now and I was taking lactare capsules and galact powder from his birth for breast feeding can I continue the same medication till 1 year is it safe? Plz suggest if any

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children4 years agoA. it is not required if you have established proper lactation with your child and the weight gain and in output of the child is normal along with frequent breastfeeding sessionss

If ur breast feed is sufficient now, then no need to continue with lactation medication...
If not sufficient then u can continue to take it. The more u feed the more milk production will be there. Take care
