#asktheexperts my 21 days old daughter has not pass stool from last two days. She is on my breastfeeding. please suggest.

ExpertDr. Minal AcharyaNutritionist2 weeks agoA. dear mum, it is normal and common among many exclusively breastfed babies to not pass stool for even 7 to 8 days. so, do not worry. consult doctor if stomach appears to be bloated.

See two things I would like to tell you that you should know is First constipation is common in this age and second is that if the child is comfortable the child can go without pooping for 10 to 15 days and urine output is good then there is no problem and if you feel that there’s a lot of discomfort over your child is suffering because of constipation then you insert a suppository in the anal region of your child will help him clearing the system within 3 to 5 hours
