#asktheexperts I have undergone a cervical cerclage at 4 months now the cervix measures 3.4 and I'm 6 months. is it safe to have sex ?

A. As the cervical length is more than 2.5 cm, it is a good value but even if you want to have intercourse with make sure that it is very gentle and it is even ideal that you talk to your treating doctor before because I don’t know why your cerclage was done in the first place. Is it because of twin pregnancy or previous abortion
