Q.

#asktheexperts hi my baby is 17 months and hasn't started to speak small words like papa or mumma... when does the speech skills develop in kids . also can you share any proven negative points of screen time for kids below 2 years of age ?

A. you should involve baby in more talking . Language is a slow process and will take time for a good clear speech . So any screen time like T . V or mobile screen should be restricted as this may delay the speech . Also a speech therapist can be consulted for the same .

A. Hi mom If ur baby is making eye contact and understand what you are saying, follow ur instructions then no need to worry. Some babies they start to talk late. And giving too much screen exposure causes delay in speaking. So the more u communicate the sooner baby will learn to speak
