Cold is most of the time because of viral illness and  if the child is having recurrent running nose and nasal congestion  it can be allergic rhinitis also so it needs a proper examination.
steam inhalation will be beneficial in both the cases alofdng with decongestant medicine like wikoryl, alex cold 
In  viral illness there can be cough and fever which needs treatment accordingly along with a proper hydration .

If The running nose is constant even after proper medication which means I think your child is suffering with allergy it’s really very important for you to get it checked with your doctor ones like a homeopathic doctor or somebody will give you a proper treatment for this issue
