Eat Together: Let your baby watch you eat. Sometimes seeing parents enjoy food makes them curious enough to open their mouth.
Self-Feeding: Give him a soft piece of food (like a boiled carrot or potato) to hold. He might be more willing to put it in his mouth himself than being spoon-fed.
Check for Teething: If his gums are sore, he may refuse to open his mouth. Try chilled fruit purees or slightly cooler food to soothe him.
Gap Between Feeds: Ensure there is at least a 2-hour gap between milk/breastfeeding and offering solids so he is actually hungry.
The 'Double Spoon' Trick: Give him a spoon to play with while you try to feed him with another spoon.
Flavor Variety: Sometimes babies don't like a specific taste. Try naturally sweet options like mashed sweet potato or banana.
Important: Never force-feed or push the spoon into a closed mouth, as it can create a negative association with food. Patience is key!"
