#AskTheExpert Sir, Please tell us that if covid vaccination is safe for lactating mother of 9 month old child.

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children4 years agoA. Covid vaccination like covishield/ covaxin in the breastfeeding mothers can be given very safely according to the latest recommendation which is approved by by government of India.
only pregnant women and children are not included in this list.
Nursinfrg mothers can feed their child as soon as required after the vaccination very safely.

PallaviMom of a 7 yr 9 m old girl4 years agoA. hello...As the trials of vaccines hasn't been done much on pregnant women or breastfeeding mom's nothing much can be said...If you are breastfeeding, or planning to breastfeed, you can continue breastfeeding after vaccination, Clinical trials on the use of coronavirus vaccines while breastfeeding are not advanced. However, the available data do not indicate any harm to the breastfed infant....but if it not urgent don't take vaccine so quickly...
