Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children3 years agoA. Cold most of the time is a viral illness where there could be running nose sneezing along with cough and it needs supportive care along with proper hydration . steam inhalation will also be useful in this .
cough needs to be treated with anti allergic and expectorant bronchodilators or antitussives medicine fr which should be used once a proper evaluation by the doctor is done and according to the type of cough its prescribed.
if any fever is thfere paracetamol can be given to reduce the temperature and the dose can be repeated again after 6 hours if required .

if symptoms are mild ,no need of Medicine.
just feed your child on demand.
apply Babyhug rapid relief rub on chest and back of your child.
keep your child head and ears covered well.
