#AskTheExpert My son often gives his finger on both the ears, specially on right side. sometimes crying. After giving him massage with my finger on his ears got stopped. What to do ? ps guide. He is 19 months old

Main cause of an itchy ear canal is soap or other irritants. Soap or shampoo can get trapped in the ear canal after showers. or can be a dry skin of ear canal.. or ear wax.. it's preferable to visit your doctor, for further evaluation and exact treatment or management.

is there other symptoms like fever, irritability, discharge from ears etc ?
if yes then please visit your pediatrician.
it could be result of cold or injury
so please check for it too
keep your child head and ears covered well
