Q.

#asktheexpert my son is 1yr 9months old. he understands almost everything that we say and used to speak all basic words when he was less than a year old. but slowly he stopped talking and says only Amma for everything and everyone. how do I get him to talk?

A. you should not worry as you can wait till 3 years of age of the child to speak in complete sentences clearly and fluently if its not so then consult doctor.till that time keep interacting as much as possible and involve the child in language enhancing activities using audiovisual aids too. dont worry if other milestones are normal this will also be achieved in llotime at times it may get delayed..there are variations in children by age for this. . .
